Health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon will be in Orkney to chair the NHS Orkney annual review on Monday.
The annual review is an opportunity to hear about progress made in the past year and to identify upcoming goals and challenges. Members of the public are welcome to attend the meeting and ask questions.
During her visit, Ms Sturgeon will visit the Diabetes Telemedicine
Clinic at the Balfour Hospital, where a telemedicine consultation will
be taking place and she will meet with staff and patient.
Ms Sturgeon said: "I'm very much looking forward to visiting Orkney on
Monday to see how the Board has been working towards its key targets
over the past year, as well as hearing about its priorities going
forward.
"I'd encourage anyone with an interest in their health service to come
along and put any questions they may have to myself and the Board."
John Ross Scott, Chairman of Orkney Health Board said: "We are
delighted to welcome the Cabinet Secretary to Orkney to hear first hand
about our performance over the last year. The meeting is also an
opportunity for local people to raise questions about their health
service. We look forward to a good turnout."
